Rescuing a cramped upstairs bathroom in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
The Problem
A previous bathroom remodel created a room with sloping ceiling, tight dimensions, aged tile, and a confined coffin-like bathtub / shower. All combined to make this bathroom a thoroughly unpleasant space.
The solution
A lovely pedestal sink, glass frameless shower door (with a band of soothing blue accent tile), large oval mirror with wall sconces, and period-appropriate floor tile all work together to open the narrow space.
BEFORE: an ugly vanity filled most of the non-shower space… BEFORE: aging tile and shower-glass frame looked dingy… BEFORE: … and the frosted glass hid a most unpleasant shower situation. Yuck! AFTER: a pedestal sink and lighter wall color open the non-shower space… AFTER: two-panel glass and a built-in teak bench, with tile accent, totally renovated the shower look and feel.
